Massage Treatment During the Current COVID-19 Climate in Vermont

As the world adjusts to a new way of life, so we adjust to a new way of practice. Metta Healing Arts and Wellness is all about providing a safe and comfortable space for therapeutic bodywork. We take the health and safety of our staff and clients very seriously. We have made many necessary adjustments and additions to the office space and office protocol to ensure the safety of everyone who comes in, which indirectly will affect everyone they come into contact with after.

Before Your Treatment

  • Clients are asked to cancel if they are not feeling well - please be honest. There are no penalties to canceling day-of under these conditions. However, if clients are showing signs of ANY sickness upon arrival, appointments will be cancelled on the spot and charged a 50% fee of service.

  • Appointments are scheduled through an online scheduling program. Digital intake form to be filled out before arriving to session (one-time thing)

When You Arrive - Outside

  • Best to plan to arrive 5 minutes early.

  • Office door will be locked between sessions; clients are requested to remain outside in the parking area until their scheduled appointment arrival time.

  • Clients will text when they arrive, and staff will greet you and let you in the office when it is time for your appointment

  • When You Arrive - Inside

  • Masking is optional. Masks are available for anyone who needs one.

  • Remove your shoes

  • Hand sanitizer available in waiting room

During Your Treatment

  • Air purifier in massage room

  • Therapist will not be wearing gloves during the massage unless requested (gloves will be

    available on hand)

After Your Treatment

  • Contactless payment if possible

  • As much as we love our clients, we ask that the time between getting off the table and leaving the office remain short - allowing for adequate time to clean.

Behind The Scenes

  • All linens (sheets, blankets and pillowcases) will be changed and cleaned after every appointment

  • All supplies used (oil bottles, bolsters, cups) will be disinfected after every appointment
